Worker Memorial – each year at the Governor’s Safety and Health Conference, tribute is paid to those workers that lost their lives while making a living. The ASAC stands in opposition that any person should lose their lives on the job. We owe it to our workforce to enact risk management, and provide essential gear and effective training to keep our workforce safe.
In 2018, Alaska lost 31 workers on the job.
In 2019, the industries of Alaska lost 51 workers on the job.
